The Clem family has been apart a lot since the day their father was involved in a life changing automobile accident on June 8, 2011. Life for this wonderful family changed forever that day. Dennis was life flighted to Las Vegas where by the grace of God and wonderful doctors he was able to survive the injuries he sustained in the accident. His life has forever changed as he is now totally confined to his wheel chair. He has lost the sight in one of his eyes and has only about 20 % vision in the other. It is like looking through glass smeared with Vaseline. Dennis is finally in St. George near his family and his children are in school. This family recently purchased a home in Bloomington that needs some work which will enable them to be together again as a family. Peggy, the Mom, has had a very difficult road and so many challenges over the past four years. Many people advised her to give up on her husband and focus on her children, but for her that was never an option.- With help from so many she split her time between them. This meant that she had to travel back and forth between Mesquite and Las Vegas every week. Spending 4 days a week in Las Vegas and 3 days a week with the children in Mesquite. In 2013 after being turned away from care in Nevada, the family was able to get Dennis to St. George and found more help to deal with his condition. The family also has a daughter with special needs and has to be attended to constantly. This family has had many difficulties that they have had to deal with over the past several years. They are reluctant to ask for help, but they certainly need the help. I met this great family at the end of September when a realtor friend of mine asked me if I would help them get into a home. We looked for several months and at several different homes before we were able to find a home that would meet the space requirements to deal with their father and husband who is wheel chair bound and their special needs daughter. They have a very limited budget and need to get the home modified to meet their needs. We have met with a company who deals with home modifications for those with disabilities. We can make the modifications that are needed, but we need the community's help to make this happen. We are asking for any who have skills in construction, landscaping, concrete, block walls, electrical, plumbing etc. If they would be willing to help. We would ask any that can help financially, to do so. We don't want to burden a few with helping this family, but we are asking many to give a little to make this dream of being back together as a family a reality.
